Why it matters

This is what a “sigma level” buys you.

Every process varies. The higher its sigma level, the more of it lands inside spec — and the fewer defects escape. Drag the control and watch it happen.

Good — better than most

Defects-per-million use the standard long-term 1.5σ shift — the same maths behind “Six Sigma = 3.4 defects per million”.

The DMAIC method

Five phases. One disciplined loop.

Every Green and Black Belt project runs the same proven cycle — each phase earning the right to the next. Tap a phase to explore it.

The business case

What is variation costing you?

Poor quality has a price — rework, scrap, refunds, lost customers. Put in your numbers and see what a higher sigma level is worth.

Most Six Sigma programmes lift a process by a full sigma level or more. That gap is the prize — and it's exactly what our Green and Black Belts are trained to capture.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I qualify for this course?
Almost everyone does. The White and Yellow Belts need no background at all; Green and Black Belts build on what comes before. Not sure where to start? Use our assessment — it recommends the right belt in a couple of minutes.
Is your training certified?
Yes. Our trainers have passed the exams they teach, and 2KO has been a Microsoft Partner since 1999. We are SETA-accredited and a member of the Council for Six Sigma Certification, so your certification is recognised well beyond South Africa.
LEAN or DMAIC — what’s the difference?
LEAN is about reducing waste: setting the operation in order with 5S and visual management, and eliminating waste across material and information flows. DMAIC is about reducing variation: measuring, analysing and controlling a process so it performs predictably. Most teams benefit from both.
What’s included in the price?
Certification is included with every course. Books are included in most courses and are yours to keep, and you get a full SigmaXL licence or a 30-day Minitab trial. Exams are quoted separately unless stated.
Do you offer payment plans?
Under certain circumstances we can spread the fee over 3, 4 or 6 months. This is agreed in writing with 2KO, and a payment plan may carry a small reduction in benefits.
How do the prepayment discounts work?
Pay two weeks before the course starts for a 15% discount, or within 30 days of completion for 10%. Beyond 60 days after completion, no discount applies.
When do courses run?
Classroom courses run regularly in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban, with online and live-online options always available. A course needs a minimum of 7 confirmed delegates to run on a given date.
